Sometimes, I feel like I’m living the life of a clown. Hiding under thick makeup and a happy face, I show the world the wondrous things I can make.  But when the lights go out, I finally rest as myself: a  broken down clown in need of healing.

The dinner table is not a safe place at my house. At any moment, my brother, the confetti octopus with anger issues, can start on a topic which erupts into a fight, leaving a crater in our family’s psyche.
